The growing of individual awareness and scientific advancement though has put some limitations or exclusions to the very aim and end of a man woman family relationship, it's the nature's design for getting offspring and thereby ensuring the continuation of the human beings.
Dieting is an important ingredient to be taken care of during the pregnancy. One has to bear in mind that a pregnant woman has to eat for two during pregnancy, although overeating is not the remedy. One has to take sufficient amount of proteins, vitamins and minerals since the mother is the only origin of all these necessary items for the baby. Antenatal dieting do not recommend complete non carbohydrate dieting since the absence of carbohydrates could result in the production of ketones in the blood stream. which may lead to risk of brain damage for the babe. Besides this may also lead to constipation in pregnant women, since they're furnished with extra dose of iron for the baby.
The antenatal food needs to include enough fruits to ensure vitamins in expected quantity. One need be careful not to over eat which may lead to obesity particularly for those who suffer from diabetes or low blood pressure or are over weight.
 Generally low carbohydrate diet includes whole grains and fruits white rice and pasta. If one take high carbohydrate diet it is better to go for frequent meals. One should avoid refined meat as it contains less nutrients and more calories. Sufficient quantity of nuts salads and fruits are to be taken. Large doses of salt and sauces are to be avoided. One is best advised to consult a gynecologist to get a balanced diet prescriptions. There is definitely a connection with the antenatal food and the babe's health.
One should prepare oneself to be a good mother by getting good knowledge of baby care, and the post delivery health care. One needs to be prepared emotionally to adjust with the physical, and emotional changes one is subject to during this period. The role of a caring husband during this period cannot be overemphasized. It is the husband who has to give her the care, comfort, and the confidence to prepare herself to become a full-blown, good and loving mother.
