Quiet Genocide by Janet Herzberg Callahan

Posted by on Dec 1st, 2016

Reading through Facebook memories from a year or two ago, I noticed that a friend had said something along the lines of, “Native Americans aren’t currently subject to genocide.” I couldn’t put a good response together then, but I think I can now. It starts with me calling B******T. Note that most links here are about South Dakota reservations, and Pine Ridge in particular, because that’s the reservation my family is from and so it’s the situation I’m most familiar with…...

Paganism Has Some Dead Ends - Raise the Horns by Jason Mankey

Posted by on Dec 1st, 2016

Paganism Has Some Dead Ends August 22, 2016 I’ve always found folkish Heathenry to be a completely inane idea. It’s an idea that completely limits deity (only white people can worship Thor), discounts reincarnation, and completely overlooks how widely diverse most people’s DNA generally is (especially here in the United States). We also all come from the same place (Africa!) which makes the idea even more stupid.

Job Seeking Advice for Pagans | The Huffington Post

Posted by on Dec 1st, 2016

by Twila York Job searching is a dreaded responsibility which all of us have had to face at some point. When you are Pagan the dread increases. Whether our symbol is the Pentacle, Ankh, or Mjolnir (Thors Hammer), or some other symbol of belief, we wear them throughout our daily lives. However, how does that affect the interview process? Can you openly wear a pentagram...

More on that in a bit. The Pagan community is incredibly diverse, and that’s a beautiful thing in many ways – the sign of a healthy ecosystem, some...
